End of the Year
This week has been busy. I finally finished the IMovies and though I had troubles with them, they were worth it. The kids loved them! We watched them on Tuesday and they loved every minute of it. A couple of the parents watched with us and one mother had to leave because she was crying. It will be very difficult to leave these students. I will really miss my internship next year and working with my great mentor teachers, but it will also be exciting to have my own classroom. I am excited because I will be done with school, yet sad to leave all of the great people I have met and have become close to. Like my mentor teacher explained to me, she said that it is an emotional time of year because it's almost like you're getting fired from a job and then you have to start a new one in the fall. I never really thought about it that way, but it does make sense. However, for them, they will get to watch these students grow and progress throughout the next couple of years. Unfortunately, I will not have that opportunity, but through it all, I hope that I have planted a seed and touched their lives in some way. I hope that through my example, they were able to see the love of Christ.
